The Natural History Society of Romagna (SSNR) is a no-profit Association with Official Seat at Forlì (Italy). SSNR aims to promote studies on Botany, Zoology, and Palaeontology of Romagna, a bio-geographic and historical region of Italy formed by the provinces of Ravenna, Forlì, Rimini, and part of the provinces of Bologna, Ferrara and Florence, between the Adriatic coast and the watershed of Apennines. The   bio-geographical Romagna includes also the Republic of San Marino.
The Association publishes a six-monthly Newsletter (Notiziario) in Italian, and a Scientific Magazine:

twice a year, as a rule. Supplements are published as well, at variable intervals. The published papers deal with the natural history of Romagna and neighbouring regions, as a rule, however also papers dealing with different regions or countries are accepted, being the results of researches and studies carried out by Club's Members.  The papers published in  "Quaderno" are written either in Italian with English Summary, or in English or French. Funds are provided principally by Members' subscriptions and donations.

The publications of  the Natural History Society of Romagna are not sold but delivered free to Members or in exchange for scientific publications of other Associations, Museums, Universities, etc..

Back issues can be purchased at  info@ssnr.it  or writing to the address below.
Extra books and Monographies can be published if any Sponsor endowes the publication. Such books are sent free (or sold at reduced price) to Members.

HOW TO JOIN THE NATURAL HISTORY  SOCIETY OF ROMAGNA

Everybody is allowed to join SSNR .  New Members must register and fill the application form, to be downloaded  from this site. It must be filled, signed and mailed to the Secretary (see below). Instead of mailing the filled "application form", new Members may e-mail a pdf copy with their signature, that is necessary to comply with Italian Privacy Law.
The subscription fee  for the year 2024  is 30.00   Euros for Italian Full Members, 15.00  Euros  (promotional fee) for younger than 30 years, and  40.00  Euros  for non Italian Members (due to the higher cost of  mail to foreign countries, including Europe).
Subscriptions by Italian Members can be paid  either by C.C.Postale 11776473 or the IBAN here below.
Subscriptions from foreign countries should be paid to  the TREASURER (currently   Mr. Fabio Semprini)
